Henry E. Ginnetti

Obituary:
 
Henry E. Ginnetti
Age 96, of Breesport, N.Y., formerly of Elmira, N.Y. and
Lackawanna, N.Y. passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at
home. He was the son of the late Carmine and Carmela (DiMasi) Ginnetti. Henry is survived by daughter, Phyllis Dahlhaus and son, Ronald
(Christine) Ginnetti; six grandchildren, Michelle (John) Adams,
Brent (Tracey) Dahlhaus, Michael Ginnetti, Rev. Fr. Nicholas
Ginnetti, Maria Ginnetti and Christopher (Casey) Ginnetti; eight
great grandchildren, Tyler (Adreanna) Adams, Wyatt (Barbara)
Adams, Dalton (Katie) Adams, Gabrielle Adams, Ella Dahlhaus,
Gavin Dahlhaus, Catherine Ginnetti and James Ginnetti; and one
great-great grandchild, Charlotte Adams; sister, Barbara Ginnetti,
brother, Salvatore Monaco, sister-in-law, Rose Corsi; several
nieces, nephews and cousins; God children, Bart Mandarano,
Susan Hostetter, Roseanne Scattene, and Carol Moreno.
Henry is predeceased by his loving wife of 74 years, Nancy, son-
in-law Charles Dahlhaus; sisters, Philomena Ginnetti and
Margaret (Louis) Canale, Rosemarie (John) Marchese, brothers-
in-law, Eugene Corsi and Charles Puccio, and sister-in-law, Irene
Monaco. Henry proudly served in the United States Navy during World
War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the American
Legion Post #154. Henry was employed by American LaFrance for 34 years and Upstate Tool for 3 years. In addition, he thoroughly enjoyed golfing with friends during his retirement years. Henry’s faith was very important to him. He attended daily Mass for years. He was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Church for 69 years, where he served as both sacristan and extraordinary minister of communion and was a member of The Divine Mercy Adoration Society. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who cared and prayed for Henry. Family and

from 4 pm to 7 pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home, 1004
Lake Street, Elmira, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held
on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:30 AM in St Mary’s Church,
224 Franklin Street, Elmira, N.Y. with Fr. Nicholas Ginnetti as
celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery
immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 1010 Davis Street, Elmira, N.Y. 14901 for
Masses in memoriam of Henry, or Care First, 3805 Mead Creek
Rd., Painted Post, N.Y. 14870.
