TERWILLIGER, Michael (Mike)

Age 80, of Horseheads NY surrendered his spirit into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, May 16, 2024 as his family and friends covered him in love and prayer. Mike was born February 19, 1944 in Elmira, NY to Paul Terwilliger and Barbara (Dewey) Lewis. In addition to being a devoted husband and father, Mike was a Superintendent at Streeter Associates Inc for over 30 years and a member of the Local Carpenter’s Union. Mike married Patty Palmieri on September 27, 1976. After raising their family, they enjoyed years of fun and laughter with their friends at Bonin Lake in New York and as snowbirds in Biloxi, MS. His interests included spending time with his family, helping with various projects, camping and hunting. Everyone that knew Mike knew of his caring of people and animals along with spending time traveling and seeing friends. He also got to have his final Safety Meeting with Stevie. Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Patty Terwilliger, his parents as well as a brother David Terwilliger and two grandsons, Richard J. Davis and James M. Davis Jr. He is survived by their beautiful blended family of 7 children, Dominic J. Palmieri III, Colleen (Mark) Barone, Christine (Donald) Hostrander, Brenda Palmieri, Michele (Michael) McDermott, Bernadette (David) Zimmerman; Doreen (Michael) Bowers, 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Norma, Visiting Angels and Hospice for their wonderful care. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow there at 6pm.
