Obituary:
 
Terrance ”Terry” Shutt
passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, April 8, 2024 at home. Terry was born in Elmira on December 18, 1954 to George and Joyce Darcy Shutt. Terry was the owner of Danny’s Body & Fender Shop, 310 Old Corning Rd, Elmira Heights. He was known as the best auto body man in town with that he gained a lifetime of friends and customers. Terry was predeceased by his wife, Mary and his loving parents, George and Joyce Shutt and very dear friend and role model Danny Louis. Terry is survived by his daughters, Denise Crouthamel, Shannon & Mark Shores and Amanda (Jesse) Shutt; several grandchildren, Brittany and Alexis Crouthamel, Lindzie Shutt, Mackenzy and Kyrston Schuyler, Khayden, Hannah, Joseph and Klayton Hobart, Collin and Dominic DeRico, Nicholas, Noah and Nathan Shores; along with many great grandchildren. Terry has many lifelong friends including Gary Taylor, Stewart “Corky” Sherman, Joe Gasienski and George Krauss along with John Jenkins and Jaime Lermeny who he thought of like his sons. A special nephew, Jordan Mastrantoni who Terry spoke a lot about in his final days. Our dad was one of a kind. He could fix everything. The skills he had will forever live in the memory of his children and grandchildren. All the hotrods Terry painted many hotrods in the area, so the next time you notice a hotrod in the area, Think of him. Special thank you to City Line Collision for all there help over the last years. Special thank you to Dr. Steven Greenberg and Dr. Mohammed Atwaibi and Davita Dialysis for all the loving care they have given him over the years. At the request of the family no formal wear is necessary work boots, blue jeans and a flannel is more than necessary. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will take place in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery on Wednesday, April 17th at 10am.
