MILLER, Betty A.
Age 92, of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Betty was born in Rochester, NY daughter of the late Ely and Ethel (Agett) Mulliken. Betty retired as a teacher from the Odessa-Montour School District in Odessa, NY. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church She was pre-deceased by husband, Richard Miller; daughter, Karen Batrowny; daughter-in-law, Kathy Miller; and sisters, Margaret, Ruth and Shirley. Survived by children and their spouses: Mary Ellen and Joseph Allegretto; Kathryn and Kevin Wolfe; Judy and Fred Loomis; Rick Miller; David and Barb Miller; Susan and Maria Miller; son-in-law Bill Batrowny; Grandchildren and spouses: Courtney and Brooks Shaw; Jamie and Mike Dotts; Kim and Chris Maddaleno; Kelley and John Holtz; Kristy and John Lewis; Matthew Batrowny; Rebecca and Mike Burke; Josh and Brooke McLaughlin; Ryan Miller; Michael Wolfe and fiancee Megan Fischer; Brian Batrowny; Stephanie and Tyler Ravert; Alexis and Zach Kelly; Emily Miller; William Miller. Also survived by great-grandchilren: Olivia, Morgan, Lauren, Paige, Payton, Blake, Owen, McKenzie, Katie , Cameron, Taylor, Ethan, Aiden and soon to be born Lucas. In addition to her family she leaves behind her bridge groups and retired teacher friends. The family wishes to thank Lynn, Didi, Beth and Cree for the wonderful care given to our mother. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing may remember her with a donation to the West Elmira Library or the West Elmira Volunteer Fire Department. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Betty on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home with Deacon Al Pacete officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery .
