Passed on to be with his sons, Scott and Baby Eddy and his beloved step-daughter, Elaine. He is survived by his wife of 43 ½ years, Betty Lou Austin; 2 step-daughters; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. The great-grandchildren here in Elmira were very close to him and he loved them dearly. He is also survived by his brother and sister, Tom and Verna of Florida. Ed was a covenant member of the Elmira Wesleyan Church for many years and taught a class in CYC. He was a Boy Scout Leader in Troop 70 and helped bring his two grandsons to Eagle Scouts. Ed got to see his step-son Gordie’s children, Damon, Mitchell and Aja in Vancouver, WA before his passing. There will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, November 30th at 2 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home.
